UF Faculty Philipp Dahm Joins Editorial Board of BMJ

Philipp Dahm, MD, MHSc, Professor of Urology and Residency Program Director in the Department of Urology at the University of Florida (UF), is one of a small group of international experts recently invited to join the prestigious BMJ Editorial Advisory Board. The BMJ (http://www.bmj.com) is an international, high impact medical journal that ranks fifth among the top general medical journals with a current impact factor of 14.1. The BMJ has a longstanding track record in promoting evidence-based health care and currently seeks to broaden its reach both within the United States as well as into developing countries such as India and China. The BMJ Editorial Advisory Board is made up of leaders in evidence-based health care delivery drawn from various specialties and leading institutions across the globe. Dr. Dahm joins this group as the first and to date only urologist. This appointment underscores UF’s unique programmatic efforts and leadership role in promoting the practice of evidence-based medicine within urology and beyond.
