Dr. Thomas F. Stringer appointed Southeastern Section Representative of the American Urological Association Board of Directors

Dr. Thomas F. Stringer, University of Florida Department of Urology Interim Chairman, was recently appointed as the Southeastern Section Representative of the American Urological Association Board of Directors to a four-year term.

Dr. Stringer is an active member of the AUA, and in 2010, he was awarded the AUA’s prestigious Presidential Citation. He is past-president of the Southeastern Section of the AUA (2009 – 2010), where he also served as treasurer from 2004 – 2007. He has also served on the AUA’s Finance, Bylaws and Investment Committees, and is a contributing author to the AUA’s Core Curriculum. Dr. Stringer currently serves as president of the UroGators Alumni Society, and is past-president of the Florida Urological Society. He was an active foundation board member of Citrus Memorial Hospital and subsequently served as their inaugural chief medical officer. He writes and lectures nationally on the business of urology. Dr. Stringer has been a member of the AUA since 1984.
