Robert Hollander, a VA staff physician for more than 35 years, respected clinical teacher and an Asst. Clinical Professor with the Department of Medicine, started small volume wine making in 2007.  His initial goal was to produce his preferred explosive style of Zinfandel and Syrah-based
Rhone-style blend.  The award-winning Zinpiphany© Zinfandel and Rhone-styled #2red were the result.

Why I Am Here:

Pursuing a long-time love of wine, I (Winemaker Bob) started small volume wine making in 2007.  The award-winning Zinpiphany© Zinfandel and Rhone-styled #2red followed.  Passion later changed to purpose following a diagnosis of incurable prostate cancer. Determined to make the best of the situation, I created the Robert and Susan Hollander Foundation, an IRS approved 501c3 non-profit supporting prostate cancer research.  Since then, all proceeds from my wine making efforts at 2redWinery are committed to supporting prostate cancer research through the Foundation.  Your tax-deductible support will allow me to continue to produce great wines for you while supporting prostate cancer research.

The Campaign:

By supporting this campaign with your tax-deductible support, you are rewarded with award-winning wine library while I can continue wine making and supporting prostate cancer research.

  1. The campaign has three parts:Your tax-deductible support.
  2. Red wine rewards for you.
  3. All proceeds pass to the Foundation and prostate cancer research.

About 3 million men are living in America right now with prostate cancer and about 28000 will die this year.   Prostate cancer will affect about 1 in 7 men over their lifetime.  This campaign will allow me to continue the pursuit of something I love while helping someone you may know.
