Practice Providers at UF Health

The Department of Urology at the University of Florida is seeking qualified Advance Practice Providers who want to work in a highly collaborative, fast paced, cutting edge surgical environment at a top rated health care system. UF Health Urology is consistently ranked as a top urology program in Florida and in the nation by US News & World Reports.

Available Positions:

  • Clinic Extender

    • This position works directly with urology faculty, residents and nursing staff in the urology outpatient clinic at UF Medical Plaza by providing direct patient care. With experience, the incumbent will be expected to develop and implement treatment plans under physician guidance. Additional opportunities to perform minor clinic procedures are available.
  • Robotic Surgery First Assist/Clinic Extender

    • This unique position allows for a portion of the week to be spent in the operating room supporting robotic urology procedures using the da Vinci Surgical System with the remainder of the week in the outpatient urology clinic.


  • For Clinic Extender position: Acute Care Certified NP, Family Practice NP, or PA licensure

  • For Surgical First Assist position: Acute Care Certified NP or PA licensure required

    • Tertiary level urology patents include cancers of the prostate, bladder, kidney and penis, urologic reconstruction, stone disease, female urology including bladder prolapse and incontinence, as well as sexual medicine.
