Dr. Bryant Whiting, PGY-3, was recently awarded a 2010-11 scholarship for international travel in urology sponsored by IVUmed. The IVUmed Traveling Resident Scholar Program affords residents the opportunity to experience urology in a developing world setting. American residents travel with Board-certified urologists to partner hospitals abroad to exchange ideas with their hosts and perform procedures such as open stone surgery, benign prostate surgery, hypospadias repair and incontinence procedures. IVUmed is a non-profit education and membership organization, founded in 1995, to make quality urological care available to people worldwide.
