Dr. Benjamin Canales has been selected by the American Urological Association (AUA), as the 2015 AUA/Japanese Urological Association (JUA) Academic Exchange Program Scholar. As a scholar, he will spend 2-4 weeks at a urology institution(s) in Japan, and in addition, will attend the JUA Annual Meeting in Kanazawa (April 18 – 21, 2015).
The AUA/JUA Academic Exchange Program allows young academic urologists to benefit from the sharing of knowledge and experiences with colleagues in Japan. Medical advances are often the result of fruitful collaboration, and this fellowship is designed to facilitate such opportunities. The program not only allows the sharing of knowledge and experience, but is designed to foster a closer alliance between the AUA and JUA, and assists in identifying future leaders within both organizations.
