The University of Florida Board of Trustees and the College of Medicine has recently announced the promotion of its faculty and tenure appointments. Congratulations to Dr. Benjamin Canales, who was granted tenure and promoted to Associate Professor. Important factors in granting tenure and promotion include international recognition of scholarship, the quality and impact of teaching and contributions to the University of Florida.
Dr. Canales joined the UF Department of Urology in 2007.  His clinical interests and skills are: minimally invasive urologic surgery, laparoscopic nephrectomy, laparoscopic prostatectomy, laparoscopic partial nephrectomy, endourology, and kidney stone disease/pathogenesis.
