Volunteer Medical Student Pedro Espino-Grosso Receives “Gator” Research Award

Mr. Pedro Espino-Grosso, a rising 4th year medical student at Ponce Health Sciences Medical School, will be leaving the UF Urology Kidney Stone Laboratory on June 30, 2017.   Pedro voluntarily took an entire year off from his medical school studies to perform basic science and clinical research in our department.

He is shown in this photo receiving a commemorative “Gator” plaque with Drs. Khan and Canales.  Pedro will be starting the first of his 4th year external urology rotations here at UF.

Pedro, we’ll miss your hard work and great sense of humor.

Good luck on your quest to become a urologist!
