Understand the current definition of ileus, and controversies related to that definition.
Understand the current guideline based management of ileus.
Understand the role of drug therapy, endoscopic therapy and surgical therapy for ileus.
Discussion of novel therapeutic approach to management of ileus, TOGA [therapeutic oxygen for gastrointestinal atony]
