Rick Croton Memorial Golf Tournament for Prostate Cancer Research held May 18th

The 2nd annual Rick Croton Memorial Golf Tournament for Prostate Cancer Research was held at the Country Club of Ocala on May 18th, 2019.  This year’s event was a tremendous success with over 100 participants honoring Rick’s fight against prostate cancer.  Sponsored by the UFHealth Cancer Center, the event also served to raise awareness of appropriate prostate cancer screening and advances in prostate cancer diagnosis.  Following the tournament, Dr. Padraic O’Malley presented evidence to support continued screening and the limitations of guidelines which do not advocate screening.  Dr. Thomas Stringer then provided an overview on advances in prostate cancer diagnosis using prostate MRI and fusion biopsy technology.

Funds raised through this memorial tournament are used to support ongoing research efforts at the UFHealth Cancer Center.

We hope you will be able to join us at the event next year.
