October 4 – 5, 2019, The UF Department of Urology and the UroGators hosted the 6th Annual David M. Drylie Visiting Professor Events with honored guest and Visiting Professor Allen Morey from UT Southwestern Medical Center, Dallas, TX.
Dr. Morey spent two days interacting with residents and faculty. This included didactic lectures with time for relaxation and socializing. Dr. Allen was totally engaged in all the activities of this special weekend including an unscheduled tennis match on Saturday morning. The Visiting Professor/UroGators Alumni Weekend is a vital part of the tradition of the UF Department of Urology. It exposes our residents to thought leaders from around the country. It also adds to our prestige and national reputation.
Additionally, it is always a joy to see our former residents return for the event. UroGator attendees included all three of last year’s graduates, Blake Noennig, Julia Han and Jon Pavlinec. Additionally James Welch, Jeff Thill, Bobbilynn Hawkins and David Jablonski participated in the Saturday tailgate which included faculty, clinic staff, extenders and residents. The crowning moment was the Gators victory in a packed steamy stadium over Auburn.
See everyone next year.
