JB Mason, MD (class of 2016) has served as the interim chief of urology at the Malcom Randall VA Medical Center for the past year. Prior to this he completed a fellowship in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at the University of Iowa Medical Center before joining the faculty at the VA.

“I am extremely excited for JB Mason as well as our program. As a chair, it is incredibly rewarding to see former trainees grow their professional careers and achieve excellence in not only clinical care and education, but also in leadership. JB has done an outstanding job bringing integrity and collegiality to the position as chief of urology and showing great poise during this process. He continues to build the urology faculty alongside our efforts at UF College of Medicine and will no doubt succeed in this important position as he has always tackled each challenge with incredible focus, determination as well as a positive outlook.”
