Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Discuss the common features of locally advanced prostate cancer
- Review the components of the pre-biopsy assessment and how each contribute to predicting the presence of locally advanced disease
- Review the components of the post-biopsy assessment and the role of MRI imaging
- Discuss commonly employed nomograms used to predict risk of extraprostatic extension, seminal vesicle invasion and lymph node involvement preoperatively
