Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss the common features of locally advanced prostate cancer
  2. Review the components of the pre-biopsy assessment and how each contribute to predicting the presence of locally advanced disease
  3. Review the components of the post-biopsy assessment and the role of MRI imaging
  4. Discuss commonly employed nomograms used to predict risk of extraprostatic extension, seminal vesicle invasion and lymph node involvement preoperatively
