Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Discuss the epidemiology of priapism with focus on the incidence, pathophysiology and risk factors of the disease
  2. Examine body of literature for an evidence-based approach to the treatment of priapism
  3. Evaluate the principles for follow-up and prevention strategies
  4. Assess future areas of research in the management of priapism
