Wayne Brisbane, MD

The UF Urology family continues to grow with the addition of Wayne Brisbane as our new urologic oncologist.

Dr. Brisbane joins UF Urology following completion of a two-year Society of Urologic Oncology fellowship at UCLA under the tutelage of Dr. Leonard Marks. He will be joining a division of three other oncologists who cover the spectrum of open, laparoscopic, ablative and robotic treatments for all urologic cancers. Dr. Brisbane is truly a triple threat who furthers our recognition as a center of excellence in urologic oncology clinical care, education and research. He will be leading our department’s efforts in prostate cancer diagnostics and therapeutics, including the treatment of all cancer stages, but with a specific interest in active surveillance, fusion biopsy and robotic prostatectomy. His novel research efforts in microultrasound imaging of prostate cancer will be funded by the Prostate Cancer Foundation, in addition to the recently acquired Lou and Rosemary Oberndorf Prostate Cancer Research and Innovation Fund. His start date will be August 2021.

Please join us in welcoming this talented physician and surgeon-scientist to our UF Health Urology family!
