2022 UF Urology Annual Faculty & Resident Golf Tournament

The annual UF Urology resident/faculty golf tournament was held Saturday, June 4th. This annual event was started in 2013 with a clear purpose of establishing a social excuse for residents and faculty to spend time with each other outside the scope of training and patient care. That mission has been achieved time and time again.

What started as an under the lights night time golf outing at West End golf course has morphed to a Saturday afternoon 9 hole scramble at the UF Mark Bostick Golf course. Once again our hosts, including UF Director of Golf Scott Hampton, were remarkable. Five foursomes competed for the prize which includes permanent inscription on the tournament plaque. The final scores include a potential penalty for losing the coveted “mother ball”. The winners, by two strokes over the Troy Larson team, were Jeremy Archer (again), Kevin Campbell, Benjy Canales (incredible) and Mike Massari with a score of 33 (par 35).

Blue Highway supplied pizza, which was entirely consumed by an army of golfers, staff and families. This year’s event (without rain) saw new heights in participation as well as post-golf comradery and family celebration. Golf is only part of the excuse for hanging out. Next year awaits.

Cheers for UF Urology and the UroGators!
