Chase William Mallory, MD
Florida International University Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine

I am forever indebted to my family, my fiancĂ©e (a UF pediatrics resident…whoop whoop!) and my friends, for their love and support.
Why urology?
By no means was urology on my radar when I entered medical school. However I came to love the warm, genuine and thoughtful personalities of the field. I enjoy the longitudinal patient relationships as well as the difficult, intimate and humorous conversations. The balance of medicine and surgery, and blended diversity of the field makes each day exciting.
What are you most looking forward to?
Meeting a family of likeminded individuals, starting the next chapter of life with my partner Sam and pup Loki (reach out for dog play dates), learning more than I can imagine, and of course, Gator games.
What are your hobbies?
Outdoor adventures, soccer, chess (please, let’s play), piano, scuba diving. Also passionate about organized medicine and house plants.
Got a funny story?
Recently I got back onto the soccer field since COVID kept me away. The first game back I jumped right in and ended up tearing my quad, while simply running. My fiancĂ©e made fun of me, of course. I never knew how old you needed to be where warming up and stretching before exercise were required. I’ve since learned it’s 26.
