Join us in celebrating our physicians on National Doctors’ Day, March 30, by wearing red.
Doctors’ Day was first observed in Georgia on March 28, 1933. Cards and flowers were mailed to physicians and their families, and the graves of deceased doctors were decorated. It was not until 1990 that President George H. W. Bush designated Doctors’ Day as a national holiday to be celebrated on March 30 every year.
Our physicians, along with the team of UF Health care staff, are steadfast in their commitment to patient-centered care. This commitment extends to the community, our state and the entire region. Together, our care team remains united to teach, advance discovery, heal our patients and support our communities.
