LEARNING OBJECTIVES: 

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Review AUA guidelines and literature on indications for placing ureteral stents prior to ureteroscopy.
  • Review AUA guidelines and literature on indications for placing ureteral stents after ureteroscopy
  • Distinguish between different materials of ureteral stents
  • Identify which ureteral stent is best used for specific indications
