The International Continence Society (ICS) is a global health organization that is dedicated to the advancement of multidisciplinary continence education and research. The most recent International Continence Society meeting was held in Abu Dhabi from September 17 – 20, with a focus on professional development, research, and networking. Because Dr. Yeung is one of the world’s leading experts on the ProACT surgical procedure for treatment of male stress urinary incontinence, he was invited to give a lecture and teach the ProACT procedure at the “Adjustable Incontinence Devices for Men – a Practical Hands-on Workshop”. Utilizing a ProACT surgical simulator that Dr. Yeung and colleagues developed at the University of Florida, he was able to train surgeons from around the world on this surgical procedure. Dr. Yeung was able to connect with likeminded professionals and engage in meaningful discussion about continence education and research.
