A message from John Phillips. MD. the Executive Vice President and Chief Clinical Officer for UF Health: John M. Hollingsworth, MD, MSc, who has demonstrated outstanding leadership as the chief quality officer for UF Health Shands and UF Health Physicians, has been promoted to the role of chief quality officer for the UF Health clinical enterprise, effective Jan. 1. Dr. Hollingsworth will serve as the senior executive responsible for advancing clinical quality, patient safety, patient experience and regulatory performance across the UF Health system. He will play a vital role in shaping our systemwide, evidence-driven quality strategy, ensuring alignment with UF Health’s mission of clinical excellence, academic distinction and high-impact research. Dr. Hollingsworth brings demonstrated experience in similar roles across academic and community hospital settings in Michigan and Chicago. He has a proven track record in advancing clinical quality and promoting patient safety while building trusted partnerships across teams and disciplines to drive quality improvement in diverse health care environments. His broad experience and expertise will provide unified leadership and accountability for quality across all locations.
