Dr. Diah wins essay contest

Please join us in congratulating JJ Diah, M.D., M.P.H., our 2025-26 endourology fellow, for earning first place in the clinical category of the 2026 Endourological Society’s Annual Essay Contest! This is the second year in a row that UF Department of Urology has taken first place in this contest. Dr. Diah’s winning paper, Polymerase Chain Reaction vs Standard Urine Culture: Feasibility and Utility in Nephrolithiasis Patients Undergoing Surgery,” has been recognized for its clinical insights and research impact. As part of this achievement, Dr. Diah will receive a monetary prize and present her findings December 17, 2026 at the World Congress of Endourology and Uro-Technology in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
