The Department of Urology is excited to extend warm welcomes to two new faculty members, Yooni Blair, M.D., and Golena Fernandez Moncaleano, M.D.
Dr. Blair joined us in July as an associate clinical professor. A double gator, she received both her bachelor’s in applied physiology and kinesiology and her medical degree here at the University of Florida. She then completed her urology residency at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI, followed by a urology fellowship at UT Southwestern in Dallas, TX.
We are thrilled to welcome Dr. Blair home to Florida and UF, where she will provide complex, open and minimally invasive reconstructive and prosthetic urologic surgery for patients in our region.
Dr. Fernandez Moncaleano joined us as an adjunct clinical assistant professor in May. She earned her medical degree at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and completed her urology residency at Fundación Universitaria de Ciencias de la Salud, both in Bogotá, Columbia. She has also completed urology fellowships in Caracas, Venezuela at La Floresta Medical Institute and at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, MI.
Dr. Fernandez Moncaleno will be providing a broad range of both medical and surgical services for general urologic conditions for patients in our region.
