Men who do not respond to PVS are considered for electroejaculation (EEJ).  In this procedure, current is delivered through a probe that stimulates the nerves that lead to the emission of semen.  EEJ is currently recommended for those who fail PVS, because EEJ is more invasive and requires general anesthesia for men with intact pelvic sensation.
